“Better burger” restaurant increases DFW footprint with Burleson location at Wilshire and FM 731, John Jones Dr.

FORT WORTH, TX (3/3/2010)—Smashburger, a fast-casual “better burger” restaurant will open its second Ft. Worth location on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. The restaurant will open at 1505 Wilshire Blvd. and continue to Smashburger’s mission to become Dallas/Ft. Worth’s favorite burger place. Fort Worth’s first Smashburger store is located at 5005 S. Cooper Street.

Dallas/Ft. Worth Smashburgers feature a regional menu created with regional flavors and tastes in mind. The Ft. Worth menu includes: The Lonestar Smashburger, Cowboy Cobb Salad, and the DFW Dog.

  • The Lonestar Smashburger starts with a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent Certified Angus Beef that is first smashed, seared and seasoned on the grill, served open-face with cheddar cheese, beefy chili, diced onions, diced tomatoes, fresh jalapenos and grated cheddar cheese on a chipotle bun.  Knife and fork included.
  • The DFW Dog is a 100-percent Angus beef hotdog and is topped with pepper jack cheese, guacamole, fresh jalapenos, spicy chipotle sauce, tomatoes and onions.
  • The Cowboy Cobb Salad is created with the freshest romaine and iceberg lettuce and topped with diced chicken breast, chopped applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, fresh diced tomatoes, haystack onions, spicy chipotle sauce, and finished off with guacamole and fresh jalapeños.

Named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers are a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent—fresh, not frozen, Certified Angus Beef smashed on a flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, Smashburgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of real cheeses, the freshest produce, and top-quality condiments. 

Smashburger is known for its savory burgers, but the restaurant also serves up delicious Smashchicken sandwiches, Smashdogs, and Smashsalads, with sides like veggie frites and rosemary, garlic–seasoned Smashfries and sweet potato Smashfries. Burger lovers can pair their meals with beer, wine, Häagen-Dazs shakes, and root-beer floats.
