New Jersey Smashburger Locations to Give Free Burgers to “Burgers” in Celebration of National Cheeseburger Day

HILLSIDE, NJ (September 5, 2012) – Smashburger, the nation’s fastest growing better burger restaurant, operating ten stores throughout Northern New Jersey under Mascott Corporation, today announced that it will give away free Smashburgers to anyone with the name “burger” in celebration of National Cheeseburger Day on September 18.

According to WhitePages.com, there are approximately 556 people in New Jersey with the last name “burger.”  Cheeseburger lovers with variations of “burger” – such as Hamburger, Berger, etc. – in their names will receive one free Smashburger signature recipe, or create your own, burger in recognition of the carnivorous holiday.  This offer is valid for redemption at Smashburger’s ten store locations throughout Northern New Jersey while supplies last.  Proof of name required (i.e. valid driver’s license, Passport or picture ID).

“We thought we would give back to those who help promote burgers each and every day – people named burger,” said Scott Gillman, CEO of Mascott Corporation. “We hope that “burgers” and non-burgers alike will visit our Smashburger locations across New Jersey on September 18th to celebrate this delicious holiday.”

At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash.  It starts with 100-percent – fresh, never frozen, Certified Angus Beef that is smashed on a 400 degree flat grill to sear in its juicy flavor.  To further the “better burger” experience, its delicious burgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of the freshest produce, cheeses and highest-quality condiments. Smashburger’s juicy burgers are served alongside its hand-spun Häagen-Daz® shakes, Stewart’s® bottled sodas, tempting sides and regional menu items crafted to please local palates.

Smashburger’s signature recipes and create your own burgers are smashed fresh, served delicious every time.  More than just burgers, customers can also enjoy a selection of tender marinated grilled chicken sandwiches, fresh tossed signature salads, along with a variety of irresistible sides including rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries, fried pickles, haystack onions, and veggie frites (flash-fried and seasoned asparagus spears, carrot sticks and green beans).

Smashburger has ten locations throughout Northern New Jersey including Clifton, East Hanover, Florham Park, Hackensack, Montclair/Glen Ridge, Morris Plains, Newark Liberty International Airport (Terminal C), New Providence, Paramus, Ramsey and coming soon to Parsippany.  For more information on Smashburger, visit www.smashburger.com, or follow us on Twitter @SmashburgerNNJ.
