THE WORD ON THE STREET IS “DAAAANG!”

Does the world really need another burger joint? The big three—McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s—clog strip malls and highways, with 28,000 locations in the U.S.; smaller players like Jack in the Box, Hardee’s and Five Guys Burgers & Fries add another 12,000. Then there are the myriad hole-in-the-wall burger stands and mass-market chains like Applebee’s, T.G.I. Friday’s and Ruby Tuesday. (more…)

Smashburger is becoming almost as well known for its community involvement as it is for its fresh menu options. This time, it’s Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) receiving the support. In honor of October, the official month of BCA, the restaurant in Charlotte, North Carolina, located in the Stonecrest Shopping Center on Rea Road, is holding a month-long event to raise funds for the cause.
