FOURTH SACRAMENTO SMASHBURGER LOCATION DEBUTS NEAR ARDEN MALL

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – (12/5/11)—  Smashburger, the nation’’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant, opens its fourth Sacramento location on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 1735 Arden Way near the Arden Mall.  Smashburger brings its juicy burgers that are smashed fresh and served delicious, along with its Haagen-Dazs ® shakes, tempting sides and regional menu items crafted to please local’s palates to this Sacramento location. This is the fourth of five Sacramento-area Smashburgers slated to open over the next year.

“Smashburger has received a phenomenal response at the Citrus Heights, Folsom, and Roseville locations,” says Doug Branigan, Joint Venture Partner and SVP of Franchising for Smashburger. “Because of the high marks we’’ve received from customers, we’’ve decided to extend the ‘better burger’ experience to the Arden community.”

Each Sacramento Smashburger features a regional menu created with regional flavors and tastes in mind. The menu includes the NorCal Smashburger which features brie cheese, applewood smoked bacon, sliced balsamic-marinated tomatoes, grilled onions, lettuce and mayo on a soft sourdough bun. The Sacramento menu also includes the Dulce de Leche Shake and the Harvest Smashsalad with grilled chicken, sliced balsamic-marinated tomatoes, raisins, cranberries, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, blue cheese crumbles, crisp romaine, spinach and arugula lettuce with balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash.  It starts with 100-percent —fresh, never frozen, Certified Angus Beef and is smashed on a 400 degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, the delicious burgers are served on a toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of the freshest produce, real cheeses, and highest-quality condiments.

Smashburger’’s signature recipes and create your own burgers are smashed fresh and served delicious every time. But Smashburger is more than just burgers. Customers can also enjoy a selection of tender marinated grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches, grilled and split hot dogs, and fresh tossed signature salads, along with a variety of irresistible sides including rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries, fried pickles, Haystack Onions, and Veggie Frites (flash-fried and seasoned asparagus spears, carrot sticks and green beans). The restaurant will also serve a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including local beers, wine, hand-spun Häagen-Dazs® shakes and IBC® root-beer floats in frosted mugs.
