One Dollar from Every Dallas Smashburger Sold Dec. 5-Dec. 11 Goes Directly to the NTFB
(Dallas, TEXAS) November 26, 2009 Smashburger, a fast casual better burger restaurant that opened in Addison, Texas near Dallas on November 18, 2009, is partnering with the North Texas Food Bank to combat hunger in North Texas. This season finds NTFB, a nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased, and prepared foods through 13 North Texas counties, low in cash and food. Smashburger will impact NTFBs power to feed the hungry by donating $1 for every Lonestar Smashburger sold at the Addison location (4980 Beltline Road) between December 5 and December 11.
The Lonestar Smashburger, created specifically for the Dallas area, starts with a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent Angus beef that is first smashed, seared and seasoned on the grill, served open face with cheddar cheese, beefy chili, diced onions, diced tomatoes and fresh jalapenos and grated cheddar cheese on a chipotle bun. Knife and fork included.
Named for the cooking method used to create the perfect burger, Smashburgers start with a one-third or half-pound ball of 100-percent Angus beeffresh, not frozensmashed, seared and seasoned on a flat grill. Served on a butter-toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of real cheeses, the freshest produce and top-quality condiments.
The restaurant also serves delicious Smashchicken, Smashdogs and Smashsalads, with sides like veggie frites and rosemary and garlic-seasoned Smashfries. Diners can also enjoy Häagen-Dazs shakes, root beer floats, beer and wine with their meal.
