Smashburger Sizzles into Manhattan May 25, 2010

MANHATTAN, Kan. —(May 12, 2010)— Smashburger, a fast-casual “better burger” restaurant will open in Manhattan, Kan. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010.  Located at 501 N. 3rd Pl. — Smashburger will offer juicy burgers made-to-order with 100-percent Certified Angus Beef, savory Smashchicken sandwiches and crisp Smashsalads as well as an array of Smashsides and delicious Häagan Dazs shakes. 

Smashburger will feature the same tasty regional items from the Kansas City menu, including:

• Kansas City Smashburger featuring grilled onions, garlic sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese and haystack onions with A.1. steak sauce on an egg bun.
• KC Hot Link featuring Gates Bar-B-Q sauce, cheddar cheese and haystack onions.
• Smashburger’s BBQ, Bacon & Cheese Smashburger and Ranch Chicken Club Smashsalad will feature Gates Bar-B-Q sauce.

The Manhattan Smashburger will exclusively offer:
• Regional microbrew beers including selections from Manhattan’s own Tallgrass Brewery.
• A Kansas State University special for students, faculty and staff who show their University ID card upon ordering.
