Smashburger® Lands at IAH’s New Terminal B North

HOUSTON, October 22, 2026 – A better burger has landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Smashburger® opens October 22, 2026, at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), bringing its distinctive made-to-order Smash® and a menu built for travelers to the new Terminal B North Concourse.

The difference starts with the beef. Smashburger uses Certified Angus Beef®, and that name has to be earned. To qualify, the beef must be USDA Choice or Prime and meet 10 science-based quality standards covering marbling, maturity, size, muscling and appearance. The result is beef selected for flavor, tenderness and juiciness.

Then we put it to work. Each patty hits the grill using our signature smashing technique, creating the caramelized sear, texture and bold beefy flavor that make a Smash® unmistakable.

A Menu Made for Takeoff

Travel days don’t all look the same. Neither does the Smashburger menu at IAH. Terminal B North travelers can choose from Smashburgers, a vegetarian option, Big Dogs, chicken, breakfast, signature sides and hand-spun shakes.

Smashburgers

All Smashburgers are available as a single or double.

  • Classic Smash® - A Certified Angus Beef® burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, Smash® Sauce and ketchup on a butter-toasted bun.
  • Bacon Stack Smash® - A Certified Angus Beef® burger with applewood-smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo on a butter-toasted bun.
  • Truffle Mushroom Smash® - A Certified Angus Beef® burger with sautéed cremini mushrooms, aged Swiss cheese and truffle mayo on a butter-toasted bun.

Vegetarian

  • Black Bean Smash® - A Southwest-seasoned black bean vegetarian burger with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo on a butter-toasted bun.

Big Dogs

  • Americana Big Dog- A 1/4 lb 100% Angus beef hot dog with ketchup, mustard, sweet relish and freshly diced red onions on a toasted Big Dog roll.
  • Chili Cheese Big Dog - A 1/4 lb 100% Angus beef hot dog with creamy cheese sauce, all-beef homestyle chili and aged shredded cheddar on a toasted Big Dog roll.

Chicken

  • Crispy Chicken Sandwich - A crispy chicken sandwich for travelers looking for a chicken option before boarding.
  • Deluxe Grilled Chicken Sandwich - Made with an all-natural, seasoned and marinated grilled chicken filet.
  • Chicken Tenders - Crispy chicken tenders served with your choice of dipping sauce. Available in three- or five-piece orders at IAH.

Breakfast Before Boarding

Early flight? We’ve got that covered, too.

  • The IAH breakfast menu includes the Breakfast Smashburger, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich, Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich and Egg & Cheese Sandwich.
  • For breakfast on the move, there’s also a lineup of wraps with crispy tots built right in. Choose from the Loaded AM Burger, Bacon Sunrise, Sausage Sunrise or Cheesy Tot Scramble.

Signature Sides and Hand-Spun Shakes

  • Complete the order with Smashfries®, crispy french fries tossed with rosemary, garlic and olive oil.
  • The IAH menu also includes Smash Tots®, classic fries and tots.

For something sweeter, grab a hand-spun shake made with Häagen-Dazs® ice cream, available in Oreo® Cookies & Cream, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.

Because grabbing a meal before a flight shouldn’t mean settling for ordinary.

Bringing the Smash® to Terminal B North

Smashburger arrives at IAH as Terminal B North begins welcoming travelers as part of a major expansion at the Houston airport.

New terminal. Same standards.

We make Smashburgers to order. We start with Certified Angus Beef® selected against exacting quality standards. Then we bring that same attention to the rest of the menu, from Big Dogs and chicken to breakfast, signature sides and hand-spun shakes.

It’s what we believe food should do: deliver proof, not promises.

During Terminal B North’s initial opening period, Smashburger will operate from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Hours will change as the terminal moves toward its full opening.
